Learning Labs/Classrooms of the Future, Valongo

Description

With the goal of preparing students for professions that do not yet exist, using technologies that have not yet been invented, solving problems that they are not yet aware of, Valongo was the first municipality in Portugal to have all the 1st cycle schools with this resource called “Classroom of the Future”. This classroom transcends the traditional classroom, creating environments that enhance learning, using technologies to accelerate teaching, creating stimulating and real scenarios.
This classroom goes beyond the traditional classroom, creating environments that enhance learning, using technologies to accelerate teaching, creating stimulating and real scenarios. A concept created by European Schoolnet, it consists of 6 learning zones (create, interact, present, investigate, collaborate, develop), each one with technologies and space organization that allow teachers to experience a new organization of teaching and learning.
A unique, distinctive good practice, available to all, integrating, inclusive, capable of reducing inequalities and giving everyone the same chances to dream and build a better future, regardless of their family background.
