Psychology services play a crucial role in promoting mental health and well-being. By providing counseling, therapy, and support, psychologists help individuals cope with stress, trauma, and emotional difficulties, improving their overall well-being and mental health. Psychologists also contribute to quality education by addressing the psychological and emotional needs of students. They can offer counseling and support to help students overcome barriers to learning and perform better academically. A the same time, this practice can challenge and change harmful gender stereotypes and biases. They can promote gender equality by encouraging equitable and respectful relationships between individuals of different genders. Psychology services can help reduce inequalities by providing support to vulnerable and marginalized populations. Psychologists can work with individuals and communities facing discrimination and prejudice, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve greater equality. By addressing the psychological aspects of sustainable development, psychology services can contribute to creating more inclusive, equitable, and resilient societies, which are essential for achieving the SDGs. Moreover, the integration of psychological perspectives into sustainable development initiatives can help identify and address underlying barriers that hinder progress toward these goals.
